Lot 25 Madley’s Grocery Store Property

Sha Shäw Corporation has received funding from Climate Change Preparedness in the North Program, through Council of Yukon First Nations, to explore the feasibility of a Food Hub and General Store in Haines Junction that could include a grocery store/general store and enhanced food growing, storing, and processing capacity in Haines Junction. By building a central store, we would reduce greenhouse gas emissions of residents driving the 320 km round trip and support climate change adaptation. This potential project would also help address food security for the local community.
